Book a cabin in Luleå archipelago

Select your desired check-in date and the length of your stay. You can book the cabin up to a year in advance, both during the high season and the rest of the year. After that, you can proceed to book the cabin.

Please notice that there is a booking requirement of two nights during these weekends:

• off peak season, arrival on Fridays and departure on Sundays
  
• the Midsummer weekend, Thursday to Saturday or Friday to Sunday

You are allowed to bring your pets to:

• the 4-bed cabin Tärnan at Kluntarna
• the 4-bed cabin Falken at Junkön
• the 6-bed cabin Löjan at Brändöskär

Price list for Luleå municipality's archipelago cabins, all prices are per night.

Age limit for booking

Minimum age 18 is required when booking a cabin. The age limit applies to everyone in the party. Identification may be required upon arrival. Exceptions apply to children in the company of a parent.

Booking and payment

The booking terms below are automatically accepted after completing a payment. Payment in advance is required for the entire sum. A reservation is binding once completing the payment. A written booking confirmation will be sent to your email, please review that all the details are correct.

When you make a reservation online, the reservation must be paid to be completed. When booking by e-mail or telephone, the entire booking must be paid for immediately via the website. Bookings made at Luleå Tourist Center are paid at the time of booking. Payment by card or Swish is accepted online and at Luleå Tourist Center. If the payment is not made within the agreed time, the stay will be canceled.

Cancellation

You can cancel the reservation verbally or in writing to Luleå Tourist Center. The reservation is personal and can not be cancelled in someone else’s name.

Cancellation made:
• Earlier than 30 days before arrival, will be refunded with 80 % of the payed amount.
• 29–15 days before arrival, will be refunded 50 % of the payed amount.
• 14–0 days before arrival, will be charged 100 % of the total rent. No refund will be made.

If there is no cancellation made and the booked object is not used by the guest (no-show), Luleå Tourist Center is entitled to the total sum of the reservation. If you have bought a cancellation insurance, please see the following terms.

Cancellation with cancellation insurance

At the time of booking, you can purchase a cancellation insurance that applies upon presentation of a valid certificate. The fee for the cancellation insurance is 200 SEK.
The cancellation insurance implicate that you can cancel your reservation until 15.00 on the day of arrival. Please note that the cancellation must be made as soon as you realize that you will not be able to proceed with the reservation due to one of following events.

Valid reasons for using the cancellation insurance are:
1. Death, illness or accident that affects yourself, spouse/husband, partner, you or your respective parents, children, siblings or your fellow travelers,
2. if there is another serious event beyond your control, such as extensive fire or flood in your home, whichmeans it is not reasonable to ask you to complete your trip,
3. upon conscription into the armed forces or the civil defense or,
4. if you are prevented from completing your booking due to unemployment or new employment.

You must be able to prove your disability with a relevant certificate from a doctor, authority or insurance company. The certificate must be sent to Luleå Tourist Center as soon as possible, no later than 7 days from the date of cancellation. A refund of 90 % of the housing cost will be refunded to you within 10 days after Luleå Tourist Center has received the certificate proving that you have the right to use the cancellation insurance. The cost of the cancellation protection is not refundable.

Rebooking

Bookings can be rebooked up to 10 days before the first arrival day at a fee of 10 % of the total rental amount, but at least 100 SEK.

Check in/out time

Check in time is 15.00 and check-out time is 12.00, unless nothing else is agreed upon. If you do not leave the cabin in time and according to existing cleaning rules, you will be charged any additional costs incurred if the next guest can not check in on time.

Obligations relating to all rental cabins

You must properly care for the cabin and comply with the rules and regulations that apply. The cabin may not be used for anything other than what it is intended for. You are fully responsible for damage caused to the property and its inventory if you or someone in your company has been negligent.

Any damage must be reported immediately to the cabin hosts or Luleå Tourist Center. You may not let more people stay in the cabin than what it is intended for. Cleaning must be done before departure. If no cleaning has been carried out, you will be charged with 500 SEK. Any damages are charged with actual costs.
You must take great consideration towards other guests between 23.00 and 07.00. The rental agreement ceases to apply with immediate effect if you or someone in your party commits damage to the accommodation or if someone in the party behaves in a disruptive manner.

All cottages are non-smoking. Only the cabins Löjan, Falken and Tärnan are allowed for pets. We are not responsible for forgotten belongings. The cottage and its patio must be cleaned before departure, before the specified check-out time.

Complaints

If the cabin does not meet the promised condition, we would like you to notify us within 24 hours from arrival so that we have the opportunity to correct it. Problems that occur during your stay, should be reported as soon as possible.

War, natural disasters and strikes, etc.

Luleå kommun has the right to withdraw from the lease if the cottage can not be provided due to acts of war, natural disasters, labor market conflict, fire or other similar major events that could not be foreseen or influenced. In that case, we are obliged to refund you what you paid as soon as possible, reduced with the benefit you had from the cottage.

• Hosts and keys: During high season, from midsummer (middle of June) until mid-august, hosts are stationed out on the islands: Kluntarna, Småskär and Junkön. During this period you will pick up and return your keys with the hosts. Please note: The keys at Brändöskär are always picked up at, and returned to Luleå Tourist Center in Kulturens hus in the city. During off season, all keys to all islands are picked up, and returned to Luleå Tourist Center.
• When the hosts are in the archipelago the café on Junkön is open and the kiosk on Kluntarna and Småskär is open.
• On Junkön we accept card and swish. On Kluntarna we accept Swish and cash.
• Bring food, drinking water (all islands except Junkön), warm clothes, bed linen or sleeping bags, towels, toilet paper, dish soap, candles, matches, flashlight, power bank and a 12V-USB-adapter.

Our hosts are available on Junkön, Kluntarna, Småskär and Brändöskär from the Midsummer weekend to mid-August. During this period, you will receive your cabin key from the hosts on the island. Please note that the keys to the cabins on Brändöskär are always collected at the Luleå Tourist Center before departure.

We only accept Swish and card payments on Junkön. Småskär and Kluntarna accept Swish and cash.

Our hosts will make sure you feel welcome and comfortable in the cabin and keep the area clean and tidy. There is a small kiosk on Småskär and Kluntarna and a café on Junkön.

If you have booked a cabin before Midsummer week or after mid-August, you can pick up and return the keys at the Luleå Tourist Center.
